George Granberry

Senior Pastor

George was born in Mississippi and grew up in Memphis, TN, Chicago, IL and Overland Park, KS. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1977 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. After Kansas State University George attended Denver Seminary and graduated with his Master of Divinity degree in 1981.
Since then he has ministered in Longmont, CO, Branson, MO and Wichita, KS.
He was the organizing pastor of Heartland Community Church and has been Senior Pastor since its beginning in 1993.
George is married to Vicki and they have two adult children, Stephanie and Stephen.

Rick Franks

Associate Pastor

Rick was born and raised in Columbia City, IN. After five years in the banking industry, Rick felt God’s call to the ministry and left Indiana to attend Montreat-Anderson College in NC, where he received his B.A. in Family Science in 1988.
He attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS and graduated with his Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Christian Education in 1993.
Rick was ordained as a Teaching Elder in the PCA in 1994 and ministered in Johnson City, TN and Lutz, FL before joining the staff of Heartland Community Church in September of 2006.
Rick and his wife, Robbie, are the parents of 7 children: Katie, Ben, Nathan, Andrew, Elizabeth, Sarah, & Timothy

Brad Hansen

Director of Congregational Care

Brad Hansen is Director of Congregational Life at Heartland.  He is a native Kansan, and graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in Russian Language and Slavic Area Studies.  He attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in preparation for ministry, and served as a pastor within the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. for over 25 years.  He and his wife Nancy came to Heartland as members in 2011.  Since then, Brad has become licensed to preach in Heartland Presbytery, and hopes to be ordained in the future.  Brad and Nancy have two grown sons, Brian and Kirk, who are also members at Heartland.

Gary Goodrich

Director of Student and Young Adult Ministry

Gary was born and raised outside Little Rock Arkansas.  He came to know Jesus Christ in college at Arkansas State University and felt a call on his life at that time for ministry.  After graduating in 2009 with a B.S. in Exercise, Gary spent 2 years in Little Rock in the health and fitness industry.  In 2011 Gary felt called to pursue training for ministry so he and his wife Whitney moved to St. Louis, Missouri to attend Covenant Theological Seminary.  Gary graduated in May 2015 with his Masters of Divinity.  Gary comes to Heartland with a passion to see The Gospel as the centerpiece on which our students build their life upon.  Gary is passionate about seeing the students and young adults at Heartland become disciples who are passionate about making disciples.

Gary is married to Whitney and they have been married since 2008.
